Meet the Principal
Christa Wilson
Principal
My name is Christa Wilson and I am the Principal of Columbine Hills Elementary School. I have had the opportunity to foster and live out my love of learning for the last 26 years as an educator. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to teach kindergarten through third grades, support teachers as a literacy instructional coach to build literacy-rich learning environments for students and continue to build up future teacher leaders through my work as an assistant principal.
For the past 10 years, I have been able to foster a thriving school culture for students, staff and the community as I have served as the principal at Columbine Hills Elementary. I believe that the foundation of our work is grounded in building strong relationships. These trusting partnerships with students, staff, parents and our community result in a positive learning environment for our students. I am honored to be working with an outstanding community that is focused on creating an environment that will both challenge and celebrate the growth and achievement of each student.
On a personal note, my husband and I have two girls, Quinn (19) and Kate (13). As a parent, I understand the importance of a strong school community that will ensure the safety of my children along with a culture of high expectations for thinking and learning that will meet the individual needs of each student.
As your principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas you might have. My goal is to ensure that Columbine Hills Elementary continues to grow as a high-performing school where students thrive each day!
