My name is Sarah Fischer. This is my 15th year of teaching and my 5th year at Columbine Hills Elementary School. I have a Master's degree in teaching reading. I have a passion to teach students and believe that every student can learn when given the necessary accommodations and scaffolds. When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, camping, snowmobiling, scuba diving, and spending time with my husband, children, extended family, and friends.

Kate Nguyen, Speech-Language Pathologist

My name is Kate Nguyen and I am the speech-language pathologist. I started in Jefferson County in 2009 and have worked at CHE for 6 years. At CHE I have the pleasure of serving students in kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as the students in the autism program. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family, going to the mountains, and working on craft projects.

Cindy Ninneman, School Psychologist

My name is Cindy Ninneman and I am the School Psychologist at Columbine Hills Elementary. I only started working for Jeffco in 2021, but I have worked in other metro and mountain school districts during my career. I have the opportunity to work with students from kindergarten to sixth grade, including students in the ASD classroom. When I am not at school, I spend time with my husband and children skiing, camping, hiking, and driving to our many activities!

My name is Rania Morrill and I am a learning specialist at CHE. This is my 7th year in Jeffco and 4th year at CHE. My experience as a parent of a child with Dyslexia inspired me to pursue a career working with exceptional children. I have a M. Ed. in Special Education and I am very passionate about helping students reach their potential and believe that with proper supports, every student can be successful! When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading & listening to audiobooks, and enjoying the Colorado sunshine!

Jessica Ensminger, Reading Specialist


Hello! My name is Jessica Ensminger and I am Columbine Hills' Reading Interventionist. I have a passion for teaching reading and use Orton Gillingham's multisensory approach to help all students succeed. Before becoming a reading interventionist, I taught First Grade and Second Grade for 10 years. I am a proud University of Miami graduate and also earned my Masters from CU Denver in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Reading and Writing. I love teaching young students, but when I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Christina Brittain is so excited to be joining the Columbine Hills Elementary team this school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Christina joins us from Aurora Public Schools where she spent seven years as a PK-5th grade SLP at Laredo Elementary School. Christina graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Christina enjoys spending time with her husband Blake, their cattle dog Hadlee, and lots of family and friends near and far. She loves to travel and adventure outdoors - hiking, snowboarding, camping. Christina loves working with children. She knows each child is very special and has a lot to share with the world!
